Where will I spend eternity? Every individual must face this question, but the Bible has the answer. It teaches that "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). "The wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23), and anyone who dies in their sins will be eternally separated from God in hell.
God showed "His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). When Jesus died on the Cross and then rose from the dead, He paid the penalty for our sins.
God offers the free gift of salvation to all who turn from their sins and trust in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ to save them from sin. "If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. . . . For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:9,13) "As many as received Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name" (John 1:12) When you trust Jesus Christ to be your Savior, you become a child of God, immediately receiving the Holy Spirit and the promise of eternal life in heaven.
